C41SR Software Engineers
Forward Slope is seeking intelligent, highly motivated Software Engineers to join our team oriented work environment, and perform system/software engineering tasks related to Navy C4ISR systems. The ideal candidate will have strong software engineering skills with expertise in areas such as Open GIS Consortium (OGC) standards and implementation, SOA and development of web services to support Navy C2. Desired experience includes:
- Gathering and documenting software requirements
- Past work on GCCS/DCGS family of systems
- Past work on ISR systems including data collection, data management, and databases
- Familiarity with open source/open standard software development
- Experience with other service (USMC, USAF, USA, SOCOM) C4ISR applications
- Candidates with specific domain expertise in web services, data mining, SOA, artificial intelligence, knowledge management, data fusion/correlation, and complex event processing are highly desired.
- Experience with operational naval systems as an operator is highly desired in information dominance related activities (maritime domain awareness, ISR, Information Operations, METOC, etc.).
- Experience working with CMMI related processes

Software Test Engineer
Forward Slope is seeking intelligent, highly motivated Test Engineers to join our team oriented work environment, and perform test engineering tasks related to Navy C4ISR systems. Also responsible in determining the best way a test can be performed in order to achieve complete coverage of all components using different testing processes. Responsible with the early stages of the design phase, followed by installation, development, testing and support. Desired experience includes:
- Experience in creating and executing Test Plans, Test Scenarios, Test Cases
- Experience in functional, performance, usability, compatibility, regression testing
- Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle
- Knowledge of the Software Test Lifecycle
- Experience testing web based applications
- Experience with performance test tools (LoadUI, JMeter, LoadRunner)
- Experience with automated tools (Selenium, Watir, SoapUI)
- Experience with mapping applications
- Knowledge of SOA/Web Services
- Technical writing skills, effective communication skills, problem-solving and analytical skills, organizational and interpersonal skills
