FSI Awarded Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific Contract to Provide Software Support Activity for the Common Control System Project

On July 30, 2020, the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific awarded Forward Slope, Inc. (FSI) a three-year task order for $9.4M under the Command and Control Technology and Experimentation (C2&E) IDIQ to provide Software Support Activity (SSA) for the Common Control System (CCS) project under NAVAIR PMA 281. The CCS is designated as the Navy's Unmanned Vehicles (UxV) Control Station Solution for providing software in support of PEO's Unmanned Aviation and Strike Weapons developmental and existing Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). The scope of the task order includes software development and sustainment, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Level of Rigor (LOR) software safety testing, DevOps engineering, cybersecurity compliance, configuration management, quality assurance, and other research, analyses, and integration efforts.

FSI's Mission Solution Program Manager, Mr. Jason Mak stated, "FSI is honored and excited to be awarded this contract for the Common Control System (CCS). We look forward to leveraging our core capabilities and experiences with cutting edge technologies toward improving UAV C2."
