SAN DIEGO - July 22, 2011– Forward Slope, Inc. (FSI) completed installation and test of the Maritime Surveillance System for the Bulgarian Navy. This was the most complex install to date. FSI has installed similar systems in various countries in West and East Africa.
"The Forward Slope team did an outstanding job designing, testing, installing and integrating advanced radars, cameras, communications and software. The Bulgarian Black Sea Coast is very important to the security of the European Union and it is spectacular for our company to play a major role in securing their eastern frontier. Starting from the initial proposal submission through the system testing, the program management and engineering teams put forth a monumental effort and did a world class job," said John Peterson, FSI Deputy Program Manager.
"It is nice to see the culmination of so many years of sound program execution, proving a small business can provide a state of the art capability in the Maritime Domain Awareness and Security arena," said George Johnson, FSI International Programs Chief Engineer.
Forward Slope’s Bulgaria team attended a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, July 1, 2011. The Bulgarian Minister of Defense, Anu Angelov, and the U.S. Embassy Deputy Chief of Mission, Susan Sutton, also presided over the ceremony.
