FSI attended the awards ceremony held on June 9, 2011 at the Paradise Point Resort & Spa in Mission Bay. Of the 75 small, medium, and large businesses nominated, FSI was one of the small businesses recognized as a finalist.

Companies were nominated by their employees who were then surveyed to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the businesses they work for. According to the San Diego Business Journal, the selected companies excel in the areas of benefits, policies, and practices of their businesses.
